Upper Great Plains Wind Energy Programmatic EIS Schedule

The Upper Great Plains Wind Energy Programmatic EIS (PEIS) was completed during 2015.

Preparation of the Upper Great Plains Wind Energy Programmatic EIS was a multistep process. The process included:

  • public scoping meetings;
  • consultation and involvement with appropriate federal, state, and local agencies, and tribal governments;
  • publication of a draft PEIS;
  • public review and meeting(s) on the published draft PEIS;
  • publication of a final PEIS; and
  • publication of a Record of Decision (ROD).

The public was provided an opportunity to comment on the draft PEIS, and public meetings on the published draft PEIS were conducted in April and May 2013. The final PEIS was published in April 2015, and the ROD was published in August 2015.
