Western Area Power Administration (Western) and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) are preparing a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement to evaluate the impacts of wind energy development in Western's Upper Great Plains Customer Service Region (all or parts of the States of Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota), and on the Service's grassland and wetland easements in the region.
